About The Position

This role involves advanced material management operations to ensure customer expectations for service and delivery are consistently exceeded. The position requires a deep understanding and application of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles, including simplifying processes and teaching others. The individual will identify risks, anticipate problems, and collaborate to prevent them. This role also involves leading team and inter-departmental improvements, participating in global improvement projects, and owning continuous improvement actions. Driving team performance metrics through guidance, feedback, and barrier removal is a key aspect. The position requires training others on processes and equipment, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and modeling company values and WCM principles.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience as a Senior Materials Clerk, or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Strong math, documentation, reading, writing and communication skills
  • Manual dexterity and ability to concentrate
  • Ability to provide support and direction to others in a team environment
  • Ability to listen, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Adhere to SEL's tobacco-free policy
  • Compliance with heightened periodic drug testing for operators of SEL vehicles
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

  • Previous Receiving/Warehousing Experience
  • Experience in forklift truck operation
