This role is responsible for applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) concepts to improve processes, leading team improvements, and ensuring customer expectations for service and delivery are exceeded. The position involves maintaining a safe and organized work area, training others on processes and equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Progressive experience as a Senior Materials Clerk, or equivalent experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Strong math, documentation, reading, writing and communication skills
  • Manual dexterity and ability to concentrate
  • Ability to provide support and direction to others in a team environment
  • Ability to listen, comprehend and follow instructions
  • Adhere to SEL's tobacco-free policy
  • Compliance with heightened periodic drug testing for operators of SEL vehicles
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Receiving/Warehousing Experience
  • Experience in forklift truck operation

Responsibilities

  • Consistently apply SEL Values and Principles of Operation.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) concepts and apply them to create and simplify processes.
  • Teach others in WCM concepts and provide resources to remove barriers.
  • Demonstrate experience with multiple advanced material management operations to exceed customer expectations for service and delivery.
  • Identify risks, anticipate problems, and collaborate with others to avoid them.
  • Lead team and inter-department improvements and participate in global improvement projects.
  • Own continuous improvement actions.
  • Drive team performance metrics by sharing experiences, removing barriers, providing guidance, and participating in feedback.
  • Involve others as appropriate when making decisions in team and inter-departmental environments.
  • Train others on processes and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and equipment, and lead efforts to improve.
  • Model and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
