About The Position
Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Attendant - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is 20.11 per hour. Core Hours are 6 AM - 2:20 PM. Eaton South Bend is searching for a Materials Attendant Specialist –to join our team. Materials Attendants are responsible for the packing, visually inspecting, and shipping product for and to South Bend’s customers. These professionals play very integral part in being South Bends last line of defense for product quality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of South Bend, IN will be considered for this position.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate traditional, precision and BCT cleaners.
- Move material using forklifts.
- Schedule, load and unload trucks.
- Sample weigh parts as required.
- Clean and organize area as required.
- Determine acceptable quality by using visual inspection techniques and precision equipment.
- Operate the shot peen equipment and package parts for shipment.
- Perform all necessary PMs.
- Able to perform basic math functions
- Maintain and control inventory. Perform computer inventory transactions.
