The Materials Attendant is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials and equipment. This role ensures efficient and accurate record-keeping for receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and equipment. The attendant prepares, distributes, and transports supplies and equipment to various facilities and departments, responding to issue requisitions, customer requests, replenishment schedules, and purchase orders. Key duties include warehousing and maintaining inventory levels, performing issues and credits, and replenishing specialty carts and kits while checking for outdated supplies. The role also involves preparing returns to vendors, maintaining security, orderliness, and cleanliness of work areas, and continually checking and rotating stock to remove outdated or damaged materials.
