The Materials Associate is responsible for processing transactions accurately and timely related to the receiving of physical goods from suppliers, returned goods from customer departments, stock replenishments, and the filling of customer orders. This role utilizes a management system, PC, and RF scanner technologies for transaction processing. The associate will review and verify all documentation for thoroughness and accuracy, operate powered and non-powered equipment safely, and ensure goods are transported and stored properly to prevent damage. The position also involves supervising the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies, ensuring secure handling and storage, removing non-functional items from service, and maintaining clean and orderly working and storage areas. Safety compliance with department, System, and OSHA regulations is paramount, along with performing good housekeeping and completing daily inspection checklists for powered equipment.
