About The Position

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a Materials Associate to join their team. This position is primarily in the linen department but will assist in equipment and customer service rep roles. The role involves receiving product, delivering departmental supplies, stocking inventoried supplies, picking and staging supplies to fill par levels and departmental orders, managing out-dates, accurately and timely managing code carts and other critical procedure carts replenishment, locating recalled items and processing for return shipment, maintaining departmental orderliness, rotating stock, cycle counting inventory, annual physical inventory, and all other duties assigned. The shift details are 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, with alternating weekends. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

Proficient math skills
Great communication skills – written and oral
Ability to adapt to and become knowledgeable of numerous software applications
Ability to learn hospital supply terms
Able to operate successfully with minimal supervision
Less than 1 year of applicable experience

Responsibilities

Receiving product
Delivering departmental supplies
Stocking inventoried supplies
Picking and staging supplies to fill par levels and departmental orders
Managing out-dates
Accurately and timely managing code carts and other critical procedure carts replenishment
Locating recalled items and process for return shipment
Maintaining departmental orderliness
Rotating stock
Cycle counting inventory
Annual physical inventory
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Handle storeroom equipment
Put away daily stock shipment
Enter data in hospital Materials Management Information System
Clean and disinfect medical equipment between patient use to assure it is ready for next patient use
Assist with the daily movement of linen carts
Able to operate a hand pallet jack
Able to utilize various electronic devices for order taking
May also be asked, from time to time, to work at other SLHS CS locations
