About The Position

The Materials Associate is responsible for processing transactions accurately and timely related to the receiving of physical goods from suppliers, returned goods from customer departments, stock replenishments, or the filling of customer orders. This role utilizes a management system, PC, and RF scanner technologies for transaction processing. The associate will review and verify all documentation for thoroughness and accuracy, operate powered and non-powered equipment safely, and ensure goods are transported and stored to prevent damage. This position supervises the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies, ensuring they are handled, stored, and maintained securely. Non-functional equipment and supplies will be removed from service and reported for corrective action. The associate will maintain clean and orderly working and storage areas, work safely, comply with all safety regulations (department, System, and OSHA), and perform good housekeeping. A daily inspection checklist is required when using any powered equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work independently in patient care areas, often under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to support multiple function areas during the shift.
  • Requires lengthy periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequently requires sitting, stooping, and stretching.
  • Requires frequent pushing and/or pulling of equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to attend to several stimuli simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain emotional stability under stress.
  • Equivalent and related work experience preferred.
  • Depending on facility, position may require a valid driver's license (no violations in last 3 years).

Responsibilities

  • Executes transactions within the management system using PC and RF scanner technologies.
  • Reviews and verifies all documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Operates all powered and non-powered equipment safely.
  • Transports and stores goods safely to prevent damage.
  • Supervises the receiving and distribution of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures equipment and supplies are handled, stored, and maintained in a secure environment.
  • Removes non-functional equipment and supplies from service and reports issues.
  • Inspects working and storage areas to ensure clean and orderly conditions.
  • Works safely and complies with all safety regulations.
  • Completes and submits daily inspection checklists for powered equipment.
