Requirements

  • SAP experience in Production Planning & Materials Management Modules
  • Experience in production planning (Automotive manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong computer, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
  • Demonstrated competency in the MS Office Suite of products, especially Excel
  • Must be well-organized, and have good oral and written communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or Business Management; or BS/BA Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of applicable production planning experience (SAP preferred)
  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) CPIM certification desirable
  • Applied lean manufacturing techniques including value stream mapping, leveling demand, Kanban calculations and techniques
  • Training in Problem Solving Methods

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer demand, review, analyze & track variation and take action to address issues
  • Alters schedules if changes in customer demand so dictates
  • Create detailed weekly / daily production schedules
  • Ensure schedules are distributed in a timely manner to the production floor
  • Communicate and address scheduling issues due to resource/material constraints
  • Escalate critical material issues to supervisor
  • Establish and maintain ERP planning and inventory control parameters
  • Support compliance of ERP system adherence, system accuracy and integrity
  • Report, monitor and control department KPI’s, i.e. production schedule attainment, root cause analysis and follow up to action plans to contribute to the overall manufacturing objectives, company goals and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in projects that drive continuous improvement
  • Support material flow by assisting with PFEP, supermarket and delivery route development
  • Support new customer part number set up
  • Align with engineering changes, product balance outs and new product launches
  • Align with Quality as required in resolving the disposition of non-conforming materials
  • Conform to company policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and cost-efficient environment
  • Be familiar with and ethically operate in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and governmental procedures relative to reporting activities
