About The Position

Under the direction of the Sr. Production Planning Manager, the Materials Administrator will provide support to the Shipping/Receiving and Materials Departments while coordinating with other PSI departments to follow established procedures that assist to track and maintain materials and data that ensure SOX compliance and accurate reporting of materials. Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leader in large gen-set packaging and enclosures. We provide turnkey, custom power packages that integrate alternators, cooling systems, controls, switchgear, cabling, and protection, delivered as containerized, skid, or walk-in solutions. Our team manages the full lifecycle from application engineering and 3D design to structural fabrication, wiring and piping, sound and thermal management, code compliance, factory acceptance testing, and site support. Requirements

High School Diploma/ GED; or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience.
Tech savvy with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and ERP knowledge (Epicor preferred).
Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail, ideally applied to customer-facing complex operations.
Previous office or administrative support experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing and/or inventory control systems in a manufacturing environment a plus.
Previous experience with SOX controls or working for a publicly traded company.
Must be self-directed, motivated and detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

When required, assist in the daily operations of the materials team, ensuring all shipments receive the proper labeling and packaging.
Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges are maintained utilizing established procedures with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
Assure positive internal and external customer service experience including directly communicating with customers and company stakeholders to create a superior customer experience.
Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped adhering to PSI company standards, data retention policy, and SOX compliance.
Ensure all necessary transactions are entered on time and accurately.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise with production, accounting, inventory, and materials personnel.
Perform tasks outlined in specific process flow diagrams as it relates to your specific department / function.
Procure the proper approvals for any required transactions.
Adhere to all safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment and navigating the plant with alert behavior.
