Requirements

Associate’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain, or relevant field and three (3) years of experience in shipping & receiving or inventory control; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience managing teams of three (3) or more preferred.
Effective team-builder who accomplishes objectives through collaboration and teamwork.
Experience dealing with heavy and oversized loads.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to handle multiple tasks, strong organizational & communication skills.
Knowledge of basic warehouse management.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain, or relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the management of inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock and working on FIFO.
Supervise the receiving process for incoming materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
Coordinate the efficient handling and storage of materials, including proper labeling and organization within the warehouse.
Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are available as needed, minimizing downtime and production delays.
Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product quality and compliance with company standards.
Enforce safety protocols and regulations within the warehouse and production areas to ensure a safe working environment.
Lead and train warehouse staff, providing guidance on the best practices for material handling and inventory management.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in material flow and reduce waste.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, material usage, and production metrics, preparing reports for management as needed.
Communicate with suppliers regarding material orders, delivery schedules, and any issues related to supply chain disruptions.
Address any issues related to material shortages, discrepancies, or logistical challenges in a timely manner.
Provide ongoing training for warehouse staff on technologies, processes, and safety procedures.
Work closely with other departments such as procurement, and production, to align material needs with overall business goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Assists the Materials Manager to oversee employees assigned to their scope; and has some responsibility for hiring, firing, and conducts disciplinary actions and performance appraisals.
