About The Position

This role is an upgrade from the standard Material Stocker position, focusing on training and development. The Material Stocker Trainer is responsible for training, certifying, and recertifying production associates on material stocking processes to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. This includes staying current with process changes, creating and updating documentation, and recommending improvements to training content. The trainer will also conduct new hire orientations, covering essential safety, quality, and performance requirements, including SAP T-codes and other technical skills. They must be capable of objectively evaluating the performance of other Material Stockers and possess the self-discipline to train and work independently. The role involves conducting audits of Material Stocker performance, providing documented feedback to leadership, and participating in regular training meetings to address safety, quality, and performance trends. Coordination with management is required for creating monthly training schedules and ensuring timely recertification. The Trainer, Material Stocker must also perform all duties in accordance with company policies, participate in safety programs, I-engage and I-observe programs, and Kaizen/6S events. They will assist in safety inspections and 6S audits, maintain housekeeping standards, and actively contribute to the production team through feedback on process development and continuous improvement. Effective communication and performance, both independently and in a team, are essential. The role requires a self-motivated individual with strong prioritization and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of T-codes.

Requirements

  • Must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months (exceptions may apply).
  • Must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from the same role in the preceding 6 months.
  • Cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
  • Must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • Must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of T-codes.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Good prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train and work without direct supervision.
  • Capability to objectively evaluate other Material Stocker’s performance.

  • Exceptions to the 6-month time limit for job awards may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion or based on business needs.
  • Associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months.
  • Interested TEMP associates can bid and will have the opportunity to become permanent based on their performance.
  • TEMP associates will only be considered if the roles are not filled by current Moen Associates.

Responsibilities

  • Train, certify, and recertify production associates on material stocking processes.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards and metrics are met and maintained.
  • Stay up to date on all process changes and create/maintain new documentation as needed.
  • Recommend updates to training content, materials, and tests.
  • Create, update, and maintain processes via Standardized Operating Procedure documents when directed by production leadership.
  • Conduct orientation for new Material Stockers, reviewing basic safety/quality/performance requirements and technical skills like SAP T-Codes.
  • Objectively evaluate the performance of other Material Stockers.
  • Train and work without direct supervision.
  • Conduct audits of Material Stockers' performance and provide documented findings to team lead and manager when directed.
  • Attend and participate in cadenced training meetings to plan, resource, and execute training actions.
  • Coordinate with manager to create monthly Material Stocker training schedules and provide recertification training as required.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Participate in monthly safety program activities and assist in development and management of safety inspections.
  • Participate in I-engage and I-observe programs.
  • Participate in facility Kaizen/6S events.
  • Assist in regular 6S audits of all areas in the facility.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in areas of responsibility.
  • Actively participate in the production team, providing feedback during process development and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate and perform effectively, both independently and in a team environment.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by your supervisor.
