About The Position

Material Stocker stores, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products. This role involves frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV’s. The Material Stocker maintains and verifies actual inventory and materials being handled, supplies parts for a line(s), and transports material through the plant as needed. They operate a variety of material handling equipment, and may disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage a variety of products. This position is responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced, accuracy of inventory records, and maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work area. Additionally, the Material Stocker assists in training other associates, flexes into the line as needed, and may plan and organize the execution of daily line schedules, including leading the cell in the team leader’s absence. Identifying and implementing improvement ideas in the work area is also a key responsibility.
