About The Position

The Material Specialist is responsible for grading materials according to ISRI and WSR Standards, verifying received items against documentation, and accurately recording all received materials. This role involves data entry into the ROM system, producing ROM tickets, and ensuring all packages are properly ticketed. A key aspect of this position is adhering to all safety rules, procedures, and company policies while performing job functions.

Requirements

• Forklift operators license.
• Forklift operation.
• Computer, tablet and printer savvy.
• Well versed in warehouse operations.
• High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Non-Ferrous Material is preferred.
• Some previous experience in warehousing and or receiving.

Responsibilities

• Grades materials in accordance with ISRI and WSR Standards.
• Compares packing list and shipping document to actual items received.
• Records materials received on WSR unload documents.
• Reports any discrepancies via discrepancy reporting procedure.
• Enters data into ROM. Produces ROM tickets. Ensures each package has a ROM ticket.
• Ensure work is carried out following all safety rules, procedures.
• Perform job functions adhering to WSR policies and procedures.
