About The Position

The 777/X Everett Quality Operations team has an exciting opportunity for a Material Review Board Designee (MRBD) Level 4 in Everett, WA, on 2nd shift . Join our team and help drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. A Material Review Board Designee Level 4 provides technical leadership in the review, analysis, and disposition of product nonconformances; leads root cause analysis and corrective action activities; validates compliance with quality and engineering requirements; and drives process and product improvements to ensure quality, compliance, and effective problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience conducting quality investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation/verification of corrective actions in production environments
  • 5+ years of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
  • 5+ years of experience gathering data from multiple sources, performing analysis, and presenting results
  • 5+ years of experience with, or knowledge of, at least one airplane system

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience supporting root cause corrective action and problem resolution in a production environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes.
  • Guides the review of production plans.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of nonconformance.
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field.
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives.
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • Provides oversight of the corrective/preventive action plans to assure timely completion.
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware products/processes.
  • Provides direction for validation of corrective action to assure causes of nonconformance has been eliminated.
  • Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity.
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.
  • Works under minimal direction and is responsible for training and mentoring lower level technicians.
