About The Position

This role supports production control by monitoring output requirements, including planning, expediting, and shipping. The Material Resource Planner will also support project activities as assigned and interface with team members across quality, production control, and operator roles. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining work orders and routings in the ERP/MES system, managing Access Databases, and updating production schedules. The role involves ordering material, performing inventory and farmout transactions, and monitoring safety stock levels to maintain accurate warehouse inventory. Additionally, the planner will support and lead annual physical inventory preparation, manage Part/BOM master data, and retrieve drawings/BOMs from PLM systems. The position also requires monitoring and maintaining packaging material needs, performing material handling duties (including fork truck operation), and safely performing rigging tasks and lifts using cranes. Travel between company locations is required, necessitating a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a company vehicle. Effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to maintain accurate records are essential. The role requires the use of computers, understanding engineering drawings and specifications, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-year post-secondary degree and basic computer knowledge and experience
  • OR 2 years of experience in a similar production support position requiring the use of prints, gauges, and quality forms and basic computer knowledge and experience
  • Fork truck operation required
  • Must be able to travel between Griffin Road and Maine Avenue locations as needed
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to use computers as required for the position
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

Responsibilities

  • Support production control; monitor output requirements: planning, expediting, and shipping

  • Interface with team members including quality, production control, and operators
  • Create work orders in ERP/MES
  • Maintain/create Routings in ERP/MES
  • Maintain/manage Access Database(s)
  • Update production schedule (Excel/Access & ERP)
  • Order material in ERP
  • Perform inventory transactions in ERP
  • Perform farmout transactions in ERP (Reqs., Routings, etc.)
  • Monitor safety stock levels and maintain accurate warehouse inventory
  • Support/lead annual physical inventory preparation
  • Manage Part/BOM master data in ERP
  • Retrieve drawings/BOMs from PLM system(s)
  • Monitor and maintain packaging material needs
  • Perform material handling duties as required
  • Safely perform required rigging tasks and lifts using cranes and related equipment
  • Travel between Griffin Road and Maine Avenue locations as needed
  • Communicate effectively and work well with others
  • Maintain accurate written and computer records
