About The Position

The Land & Air Defense System 24/7 operations team is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) with demonstrated project management skills who will be closely accountable for ensuring program and supplier performance. You must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of internal management. You will be responsible for executing supply chain strategies and plans. The MPM serves as the leader for all program’s supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert impact and influence the overall goals of the program and the program IPT team. The ideal candidate will have supply chain, financial, purchasing, and negotiating experience and have project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, supplier management, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Material management of demand and supply will be a core responsibility along with ensuring on time delivery material in support of DLS requirements. Significant autonomy comes with this role in managing day-to-day activities. This is a hybrid role based out of our Andover, MA location.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in SAP or PRISM.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management as well as supplier management.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks they will be required to perform.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma or Lean methodologies/principals.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and translate customer and product requirements to suppliers; Conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
  • Monitor and communicate supply chain performance metrics and proactively act to address program, product, and functional issues impacting kit availability, on-time delivery to MRP, and on-hold purchase requisitions.
  • Support recurring supplier, program, and IPT Reviews including visibility of procurement plans and escalation of supply chain issues.
  • Develop and execute Risk & Opportunity (R&O) and Sales plans to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) & program responsibilities; Proactively manage mitigation plans.
  • Manage budgets for all buy parts and supply chain labor in support of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process.
  • Support prime proposals and program start-up including developing and executing Material Product Strategies (MPS) and Plans (MPP).
  • Manage material demands, procurements, receipts, movements and final delivery to customer or field personnel.
  • Ability to obtain MPM certification or make significant progress towards obtaining within 1 year of hire.
