About The Position

A Material Program Manager (MPM) in the Operations & Supply Chain group is needed for the Raytheon Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit (SBU) – Advanced Hypersonic Weapons directorate in Tucson, AZ. This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process, project management and proposal activities. In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product team. Additionally, you will participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates and participating in gate review preparation and/or support activities and assists with the generation of Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW). The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issues and conflict resolution. As a member of product team in a matrixed environment, you will frequently need to communicate at an executive level within and outside your function, using your ability to influence others outside of your immediate work area to explain gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures. This is an onsite position in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
Experience in supply chain and related systems, program management, procurement, MRP, cost estimating, and/or finance.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.
DoD Clearance: Secret.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through education and past experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to provide creative and systemic solutions.
Strong analytical skills required to evaluate end-to-end planning and identify constraints, risks and opportunities.
Advanced Supply Chain Planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset (i.e. pivot tables, filters, advanced formulas, macros, automation, MS Office Integration, etc.).
A knowledge base that can be leveraged to affect change and provide creative, lasting systemic solutions to ensure MRP integrity in support of on time deliveries.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product team.
Participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates.
Participate in gate review preparation and/or support activities.
Assist with the generation of Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW).
Lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issues and conflict resolution.
Communicate at an executive level within and outside your function, using your ability to influence others outside of your immediate work area to explain gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures.
Identify and secure Supply Chain resources to support the capture plan.
Manage the Supply Chain content of the proposal pipeline.
Maintain/Assess the integrity of the MRP environment and your programs’ schedule within that environment.
Balance supply and demand to create/maintain executable schedules.
Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers.
Financial planning and Earned Value Management.
