As part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) team, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, affordable systems to our customers. From supplier management to program execution, GSCM ensures safety, security, and sustainability while driving efficiency and effectiveness across all program phases. As a Material Program Manager (MPM) you’re a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, you’re able to lead and influence cross-functional teams without having any direct reports. The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, negotiating or project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, or Program/Project Management.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (special program access or equivalent manufacturing programs).
  • Must obtain MPM certification level 4 within 1 year of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience of successfully managing budgets and resolving complex issues to meet program objectives and deadlines.
  • Experience in a Matrix organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of government acquisition regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS) and supplier negotiations.
  • Active and transferable Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access after start.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute material program plans, subcontract management plans (as applicable)
  • Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program responsibilities & proactively manage mitigation plans
  • Completing quarterly financial management reviews using Earned Value Management through the EAC (Estimate at Complete) process
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Collaborate with supply chain functions for support as needed
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
  • Support all gate review and activity, EAC review, program review and risk and opportunity management reviews
  • Oversight of subcontractor execution performance
