About The Position

Under direct supervision, this role handles and maintains the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. It is responsible for breaking down incoming pallets and delivering materials to designated point-of-use cabinet locations, scanning materials upon delivery for accurate inventory tracking, and rotating stock following First In, First Out (FIFO) principles. The position also involves daily monitoring and replenishment of bulk MRO materials, hazardous waste handling in compliance with safety regulations, and potentially operating material handling equipment. Responsibilities include verifying order accuracy, staging materials, preparing pallets, applying labels, and safely loading trucks. This role also requires performing daily equipment checks, maintaining a clean and safe work area, reporting inventory discrepancies or damaged goods, and potentially loading/unloading trucks or using a Hi-Rise for storage racks. The work is performed in a warehouse setting, encompassing receiving, storing, parting, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products. This position provides a development path to become a Production Operator through gaining knowledge, skills, and experience, along with successful participation in the company bidding process for future opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must feel comfortable working in a chemical plant environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work on feet for long periods.
  • Attention to detail and reliable work habits.
  • Basic computer or scanner skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Must be able to use and/or wear all required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work any shift and work overtime, as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas.
  • Breaks down incoming pallets and delivers materials to designated point-of-use cabinet locations.
  • Scans materials upon delivery for accurate inventory tracking.
  • Rotates stock following First In, First Out (FIFO) principles.
  • Keeps cabinets clean and organized.
  • Monitors and replenishes bulk MRO materials daily.
  • Handles hazardous waste according to safety regulations and site protocols.
  • Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
  • Verifies order accuracy and stages materials for order.
  • Prepares pallets and applies labels.
  • Loads trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Performs daily equipment checks and reports issues.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area and follows all safety procedures.
  • Reports inventory discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • May load/unload trucks and use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.
  • Receives, stores, parts, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
  • Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
  • Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Filters and pumps resins from drop tanks to hold tanks, batch tanks, or storage tanks.
  • Sets up manifolds, lines, and valves to transfer products into tank trucks, tote tanks, and drums.
  • Unloads tank trucks into cell rooms or finishing area tanks.
  • Takes samples and makes batch additions as directed by the supervisor.
  • Collects samples from adjusted batches or stored products and delivers them to the Quality Control Laboratory.
  • Labels, fills, weighs, and transports drums.
  • Palletizes drums and places them in storage or stages them for shipment.
  • Operates fork trucks, barrel jacks, and pallet jacks to remove drums from conveyors, transport drums, and stack palletized drums.
  • Operates a yard tractor to move and position tank wagons and other trailers.
  • Cleans and maintains filter equipment, Cuno filters, traps, strainers, and other processing equipment.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
