Interested in joining us on our journey? As a Material Planner at Roper Corporation, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our high-speed manufacturing operations running smoothly. You’ll own the planning and flow of raw materials and purchased components, partnering closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the right materials arrive at the right time—every time. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll drive inventory accuracy, support new product launches, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Working understanding of MRP systems

Responsibilities

  • Ensure uninterrupted production by planning and coordinating material availability, proactively resolving supply issues with vendors
  • Partner with suppliers to manage on-time delivery and support Just-In-Time (JIT) material flow
  • Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, bill of material (BOM) accuracy, and excess/obsolete inventory reduction
  • Support new model introductions, including part readiness and phase-in/phase-out execution
  • Collaborate with scheduling and logistics teams to minimize disruption from supply constraints or schedule changes
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including: Raw WIP (RWIP) reduction, Supplier capacity analysis, Returnable packaging optimization
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance performance and reliability
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory control processes
  • Develop and implement processes that reduce expedites, optimize inventory levels, and prevent production downtime
