About The Position

The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring that the supply chain operates efficiently, materials are available when needed, and production continues without disruption. The role requires a mix of strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Requirements

Minimum H.S. Diploma
5 years plus experience in a Planning role
Good attention to detail
Strong decision-making skills
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced frequently changing environment
Great communication skills

Responsibilities

Overseeing supplier deliveries, ensuring that they comply with agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.
Understanding the consumption patterns and forecasts to adjust schedules and material requirements, accordingly, avoiding both shortages and surplus stock.
Reacting quickly to changing conditions, such as shifts in demand or production schedules.
In some cases, the Materials Planner may also have oversight of other employees in the supply chain, contributing to team coordination and operational efficiency.
Ensuring all actions are in line with approved procedures to maintain consistency and quality control.
Investigating and addressing any issues with receiving or accounting, especially related to purchase orders.
Managing tactical relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication, and resolving any issues regarding delivery, quality, or capacity.
Working proactively to resolve any issues related to material availability or order fulfillment.
Performing other tasks as assigned, which can evolve based on business needs.
