About The Position

The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring that the supply chain operates efficiently, materials are available when needed, and production continues without disruption. The role requires a mix of strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. This position is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma.
• 5 years plus experience in a Planning role.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing supplier deliveries, ensuring that they comply with agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.
• Understanding the consumption patterns and forecasts to adjust schedules and material requirements, accordingly, avoiding both shortages and surplus stock.
• Reacting quickly to changing conditions, such as shifts in demand or production schedules.
• In some cases, may have oversight of other employees in the supply chain, contributing to team coordination and operational efficiency.
• Ensuring all actions are in line with approved procedures to maintain consistency and quality control.
• Investigating and addressing any issues with receiving or accounting, especially related to purchase orders.
• Managing tactical relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication, and resolving any issues regarding delivery, quality, or capacity.
• Working proactively to resolve any issues related to material availability or order fulfillment.
• Performing other tasks as assigned, which can evolve based on business needs.
