About The Position

As part of our rapid U.S. growth, XNRGY is seeking a qualified and experienced Material Planner to join the team. Reporting to the Material Planning Manager, the Material Planner will be responsible for managing the procurement, inventory, and supply chain logistics of materials required for the production of custom HVAC systems. This role requires close coordination with the production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure that materials are available to meet production schedules while optimizing inventory levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles, preferably within the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (EPICOR is a plus) and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems or manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) schedules to ensure timely availability of materials for production.
  • Analyze production schedules and forecasts to determine materials needed for upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with procurement to order materials, negotiate pricing, and manage lead times with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock, implementing strategies to minimize waste.
  • Identify and resolve any material shortages or supply chain disruptions that could impact production timelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to accommodate changes in design specifications or production schedules.
  • Track and report key metrics, such as inventory turnover, material cost variances, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, inventory transactions, and purchasing activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory management processes.
