About The Position

The Material Planner is responsible for coordinating production workflow, planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay for ACTIA Electronics. This role involves determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to meet production demand, ensuring Supply Chain Department requirements are met, and that the ERP/MRP system runs according to plan. The planner will also manage inventory levels, increase inventory turns, and maintain an uninterrupted flow of materials for manufacturing, while developing and implementing continuous improvement techniques for internal processes and systems. The position requires interfacing with product line coordinators on planning and forecasting, ensuring company standard practices are followed, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in logistics role or related experience
  • Ability to lead team members
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
  • Knowledge of customer forecasting (EDI etc..)
  • Ability to solve problems swiftly
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • MRP Base knowledge (Movex, EDIs, Vendor Forecast Management)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating production workflow for ACTIA Electronics.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Ensuring that all requirements are met by the Supply Chain Department.
  • Ensure that ERP/MRP is running according to planning and Procurement agents are compliant with MRP Process.
  • Meet weekly with Purchasing group to review all open projects and discuss “big picture” objectives and course of action.
  • Responsible for managing overall inventory levels, increasing inventory turns, while keep an uninterrupted flow of material for manufacturing.
  • Develop and manage continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems.
  • Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements
  • Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
  • Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
