About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Material Planner Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by leading cross-functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventory. You will develop and maintain operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand. You will provide a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making, and publish and present service and inventory metrics and results. You will identify and lead projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment, and review and report on project progress with management. You will work closely with the business unit to understand customer requirements and forecasts, and closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining sufficient inventory levels and lead times. You will manage the Sales and Operation Planning process and actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets. You will utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as PMCS, Peoplesoft, and Factory Planner, and utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and two (2) years of combine experience in procurement or planning in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • OR High School diploma, GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eight (8) years of combine experience in procurement or planning in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
