About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistical Services, the Material Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Materials used throughout Memorial Health System in Surgical and Procedural areas.

Requirements

High School or GED
5 years experience Managing equipment, implants, contracts, trials, utilization reporting and billing for surgical and procedural areas as related to Materials Management and Supply Chain operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Presentation skills
Written and verbal skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
10 years experience in Healthcare materials management role or related area

Responsibilities

Oversee and support Material Management activities and staff ensuring a smooth customer focused experience
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve overall Material operations
Manage day to day activities involving Recalls and Recommendations by governing bodies
Strategically plan and manage logistics, standardization and utilization of supplies and equipment in designated areas of responsibility
Introduction and management of Material Inventory systems
Plan appropriate steps and action plans to achieve departmental and organizational strategic goals and objectives
Ensure compliance of Occupational Health and Safety and a safe workplace for all
Monitor and oversee Vendor activities in designated areas of responsibility
Identify and manage continuous improvement projects
Resolve any arising problems and escalating issues as required
As required provide support in solving day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
Apply supply chain best practices to actively identify, analyze, and recommend quick win opportunities both internal and external to MHS
Engage with stakeholders to identify, scope, plan, and execute improvement initiatives
Assist in solution design and analytical support for supply chain activities
Provide support to the Director of Supply Chains and Logistical Service as needed
