About The Position

DPP is seeking a Material Movement Associate for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace industry. This is a 4-month contract position with a shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (D shift). The role is onsite in Merritt Island, FL.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions.
  • Strict adherence to established safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe operating procedures, and participating in safety training.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical skills & Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Previous certified forklift experience.
  • Must be an Authorized US Worker (US Citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply).
  • Will require DBIDS Badge.

  • Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, monitor, and escalate roadblocks that could cause downstream defects.
  • Support root cause analysis and provide details with problem-solving skills.
  • Operate heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts, including electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks, to move heavy parts/material throughout facilities.
  • Unload shipments delivered by carriers.
  • Visually examine incoming packages to determine if they are acceptable according to standard operating procedures.
  • Review requirements for each part number and process according to standard operating procedures.
  • Use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to close out receipts or work orders.
  • Navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly from the physical delivery of a part.
  • Navigate through modules and read information as needed for specific Fulfillment tasks.
  • Identify appropriate packaging for parts and properly wrap/store parts at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
  • Move packages/boxes/crates/storage containers while identified and secured to prevent loss within the workflow.
  • Ensure all parts are part-labeled and have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure to analyze parts through the workflow.
  • Properly store parts using good judgment and standard operating procedures for individual or bulk storage.
  • Audit parts per standard operating procedures.
