About The Position

This role is for an Associate - Material Movement position located in Merritt Island, FL. It is an onsite, contract position for 4 months with a pay rate of $25.10/hour. The shift is D Shift, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S., as sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

2 years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions.
Strict adherence to established safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
Mathematical skills and analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Previous certified forklift experience.

Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, monitor, and escalate roadblocks identified during work that could cause downstream defects.
Support root cause analysis and provide details with problem-solving skills.
Operate heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts, including understanding operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
Operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout facilities, including electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
Unload shipments delivered by carriers.
Visually examine incoming packages to determine if they are acceptable according to standard operating procedures.
Review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to standard operating procedures.
Use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to close out receipts or work orders.
Navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly from physical part delivery.
Navigate through modules and read information as needed for specific Fulfillment tasks.
Identify the type of packaging needed for parts and properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
Move packages, boxes, crates, and storage containers securely to prevent loss within the workflow.
Ensure all parts are labeled and have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure for analysis through the workflow.
Properly store parts and use good judgment along with standard operating procedures for the storage of parts, whether individual or in bulk.
Audit per standard operating procedure.
