About The Position

The Material Management Lead is responsible for establishing, monitoring and controlling strategies, policies and guidelines for Materials Management by commodity and/or program to improve all relevant KPIs. He identifies, supports, manages and implement (when required) process improvement opportunities in conjunction with needed stakeholders to improve inventory flow and accuracy. He organizes and manages material flow best practices knowledge transfer to Supply Chain Management professionals and others. In order to focus efforts on Material Management, the team is divided into two workstreams: “Inventory Planning & Governance” and “Inventory Performance & Control”. Based on the inventory flow status, the first team (IP&G) will work on preparing the guidelines and parameters needed for an adequate supply, and the second team (IP&C) will work on the actions required for post-delivery activities to maintain proper stock levels. Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
  • Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Excel Macros is a must have.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written).

Responsibilities

  • Support inventory action plan development, monitoring and execution in collaboration with SM professionals and any other stakeholders.
  • Analyze, optimize, execute and control value stream parts planning parameters.
  • Develop tools to support improvement projects within the team and with other entities.
