About The Position

The Material Management Associate is primarily responsible for receiving, shipping, and other warehouse functions and processes. This includes tasks such as inventory cycle counts, maintaining and ordering shipping supplies, record keeping, organizing the warehouse, and maintaining cleanliness. The role ensures that all work meets cGMP, quality, and safety compliance while meeting departmental schedules, committed timelines, and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 - 3 years of warehouse experience in Pharmaceutical Industry required.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, meet targets, and coordinate activities with team members.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cGMP, DEA, and Safety compliance, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-driven and motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and the warehouse, and be open to implementing new ideas for time management.
  • Acquainted and able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and verifying purchased goods against purchase orders and shipping documents, processing paperwork, and completing necessary transactions.
  • Staging and delivering received items to the appropriate location/personnel and informing requesters of item arrival.
  • Inspecting shipments/freight upon receipt, documenting any damage, quality, or quantity discrepancies, and informing supervising authorities.
  • Working with the purchasing department to resolve quantity discrepancies.
  • Assembling outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating with third-party carriers for timely pick-up and delivery.
  • Sharing shipment tracking information with requester team members.
  • Supporting inventory transactions, including receiving, assigning locations, and issuing inventory.
  • Weighing and dispensing raw materials as needed.
  • Preparing and maintaining records, files, and reports of receiving, shipping, and warehouse inventories.
  • Operating warehouse equipment and vehicles, utilizing hand tools, and performing daily equipment check reports.
  • Coordinating with the engineering department for warehouse equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Supporting coordination with vendors, suppliers, and other internal departments.
  • Gaining work knowledge and implementing it to identify areas of improvement and assisting with continuous improvement.
  • Complying with cGMP, Quality & safety compliance, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work areas, including performing cleaning activities.
  • Performing other functions as required or assigned.
  • Complying with all company policies and standards.
