The Material Handling Technician I role encompasses four different indirect labor positions: Receiving, Shipping, Parts Warehouse, and Driver. This role is responsible for verifying counts of incoming and outgoing materials, receiving purchase orders, distributing products to required departments, and moving parts to appropriate work centers. For shipping, responsibilities include pulling, packing, and preparing finished goods for final shipment to customers, refilling product bins with incoming inventory, and receiving product into the warehouse. In the Parts Warehouse, the role involves issuing manufacturing orders for Production, including issuing kits to final assembly and maintaining accuracy of component parts, as well as maintaining inventory of knife components. The Driver position is responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials between warehouse locations within a specific timeframe, safely driving a box truck, and loading/unloading materials and finished goods while verifying and transacting loads for accuracy.
