About The Position

Coordinates the design of material flow within the automotive production lines to minimize downtime, reduce waste, identify bottlenecks, and increase production efficiency. Establishes man hours calculations and requirements for the Material Handling team while continually improving their processes. Implements Kanban systems to control the flow of materials and trigger reordering when inventory levels reach replenishment thresholds. Removes roadblocks and resolves problems delaying the progress of projects and department milestones. Supports Material Handling by conducting root cause analysis to eliminate and mitigate issues on manpower, materials, methods, and machine. Responsible for all new model launch milestones related to packaging and material handling activities. Develops Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, monitor progress, assess performance, and make informed decisions. Continuously evaluates cost reduction improvements in material flow and container packaging. Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in material flow, inventory management, internal logistics, and/or supply chain management in lieu of education.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to the handling and movement of materials to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to articulate, write, and present clearly to upper management.
  • SAP Experience-Control Cycle/Material Master/Supply Area
  • Value Stream Mapping
  • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration across the organization.
