About The Position

This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material handling equipment to move product and packaged complete orders, exercising care to avoid product damage. The operator will follow specific instructions for moving goods, complete daily equipment checks, and verify product information against shipping and receiving documents. They will also use an RF scanner for order processing, report any discrepancies or damages, and handle packages up to 50 pounds. Accuracy in paperwork and adherence to safety regulations are crucial. Additionally, the role may involve assisting the fulfillment team, performing cycle counts, training new employees, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Must acquire forklift certification upon hire.
  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely as required.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed due to customer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 1-3 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment to move product and packaged complete orders, exercising care to avoid product damage.
  • Follow specific instructions given by internal personnel regarding the movement of goods.
  • Complete daily preventive maintenance check form on all equipment driven.
  • Verify the accuracy of product count and product information against shipping and receiving documents and check product for damage.
  • Use RF scanner to process outbound orders and inbound receipts.
  • Report shortages, damages, and mis-shipments to supervisor.
  • Follow special instructions regarding the sorting, picking, packing and labeling of product based on the customer requirements for daily orders.
  • Handle packages up to 50 pounds.
  • Completes daily task paperwork accurately and entirely.
  • Comply with safety regulations governing the operation of the equipment.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Follow facility specific procedures regarding locking and releasing of trailers.
  • Assist fulfillment team as needed for daily tasks or special projects.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts.
  • Trains new employees on standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
