About The Position

KBR is seeking a qualified and dependable Material Handling Laborer (MHL) to provide essential support in our Patuxent River / Lexington Park, MD facility. This position requires performing various physical tasks vital to the success of aircraft Test & Evaluation (T&E) operations. The successful candidate will assist in the handling, transportation, and storage of materials and test equipment, while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Candidates must meet the Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance requirements as part of their employment. A current/active DoD Secret Security Clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess a current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, depending on the assigned duties.
  • Ability to perform manual labor tasks, including bending, stooping, and kneeling, in various environmental conditions (e.g., indoor/outdoor, varying temperatures).
  • Work may be performed in environments that include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the movement, transport, and storage of materials and test equipment in support of aircraft T&E operations.
  • Manually load and unload transportation devices, ensuring all materials are safely transported.
  • Utilize hand trucks, carts, or other equipment to move materials as required.
  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring items are correctly accounted for and in proper condition.
  • Store materials and equipment in designated storage areas, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
  • Perform routine facility upkeep, including cleaning and organizing workspaces to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of test equipment and materials in storage or equipment rooms.
  • Provide logistical and physical support to the T&E team, including assisting with the setup, breakdown, and organization of test equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transport and availability of materials for testing purposes.
