About The Position

Savage is hosting a hiring event in the Port Arthur area to explore multiple career opportunities supporting industrial and refinery operations. This event allows candidates to be reviewed faster, speak directly with hiring leaders, and be matched to positions that fit their skills and availability for current and upcoming opportunities. Opportunities may include Material Handling & Equipment Operators, Industrial Maintenance Mechanics, and Operational Leadership. After applying, qualified candidates will be contacted for a phone screening. Those who meet hiring criteria may receive an "authorized interview fast-pass" for priority timeslots at the event. Walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

Requirements

  • Ability to work assigned schedules, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to meet various pre-employment requirements including but not limited to: Criminal background check, Drug and alcohol screening, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review; valid Driver's license required, Fitness-for-duty assessment to ensure that candidates can safely perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation, Ability to receive and maintain site access credentials or badges per site-requirements
  • Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC card

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in an industrial, refinery, chemical plant, or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience following strict safety rules and working in safety-sensitive environments is a plus
