About The Position

The Material Handling Associate will safely and efficiently move and organize materials in the warehouse, supporting production operations for timely delivery and storage locations. This individual must possess a strong work ethic, be dependable, and appreciate teamwork in a fast-paced, safety-oriented manufacturing environment. This position is on Second Shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm).

Requirements

  • Basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification.
  • Must be comfortable driving and operating heavy equipment for this specific role; training and certification will be provided
  • Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and bump caps, while following established safety rules and guidelines
  • Must have strong communication skills in both verbal and written communication
  • Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude are a must
  • Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts, including weekends

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year of experience in safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment preferred
  • Computer skills are strongly preferred (use of Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365 programs)

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate Safety equipment, including forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, safety guidelines, and procedures
  • Evaluate the processes and equipment to look for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to ensure they meet quality standards and report any discrepancies.
  • Work with production teams to ensure they receive RM that is needed for daily activities.
  • Deliver materials from requests made to the Warehouse and deliver them to the production line.
  • Ensure materials are presented correctly: labeled, oriented, and accessible.
  • Ensure correct part numbers, revisions, and lot codes are delivered.
  • Report damaged or suspect materials immediately.
  • Able to use pallet jacks, bonus if forklift certified or willing to work towards the certification.
  • Organization and auditing of the Materials cage on a weekly basis.
  • Able to pivot to special projects and tasks that are not included in the above bullet points.
