About The Position

This is a full-time Material Handler position on the 1st shift. The role involves retrieving products from warehouse storage, accurately reading pick tickets and receiving documents, and identifying items based on specifications. Responsibilities include picking materials into carts, ensuring effective packing to prevent damage, coordinating the receiving process with documentation and vendor carriers, conducting visual inspections, utilizing inventory management systems, and working effectively in a team to meet daily goals. Responsibilities

  • Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Accurately read pick tickets, receiving documents, or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials.
  • Accurately identify items based on receiving specifications and ensure the correct quantity is selected.
  • Pick all materials into appropriate carts based on specific manufacturing location or receiving requirements.
  • Ensure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during the put-away or pick process.
  • Coordinate the receiving process by preparing receiving labels, verifying addresses, product descriptions, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and entered systematically.
  • Collaborate with vendor carriers to facilitate the timely arrival of materials.
  • Conduct visual inspections of products during the picking and receiving stages to identify any defects or discrepancies.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as needed.
  • Work effectively as a team to achieve daily receiving/picking goals.
