Material Handler/ Cherry Picker Operator
About The Position
The Material Handler works in The Wasserstrom Company's Distribution Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves loading and unloading product shipments between trucks and the shipping or receiving platform; picking, putting away, and counting products in case or pallet quantities; and using an RF scanner and/or pick label to verify items, quantities, and locations. The position also operates multiple pieces of motorized equipment safely and properly. First-shift start times are 4 a.m., 6 a.m., or 11 a.m. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays required when needed. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of previous forklift experience; preferred but not required.
