About The Position

Responsible for shipping and receiving all goods into the facility and assist in maintaining the warehouse properly, organized and maintained in order to facilitate the movement of product.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience
  • 2+ years of shipping & receiving experience
  • 2+ years of inventory control experience
  • Experience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management Software (ex. SAP)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Work in temperatures of up to100 plus for up to 12-hour shifts.
  • Frequent Standing and walking; frequent stooping and squatting; frequent bending and some kneeling and crawling; occasional bending and twisting; occasional stair climbing.
  • Pushing/pulling 30 – 60 pounds of force.
  • Occasional reaching; repetitive use of wrist, hands, and fingers; frequent use of shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles.
  • Must be physically able to operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts.
  • Must be able to move safely throughout the facility as needed.
  • Must follow all Safety Rules and policies.
  • Working safely and wearing required PPE is a condition of employment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Support, demonstrate and promote Pregis’ core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus and innovation.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.
  • Maintain the warehouse clean and organized daily to ensure product can be located easily and efficiently.
  • Perform daily inventory as needed to provide information for any necessary adjustments. Communicate information to the appropriate people.
  • Maintain inventory of purchased products and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate scrap material storage as needed.
  • Oversee changes to the department storage floor plan.
  • Communicate information to the appropriate people.
  • Coordinate storage locations.
  • Familiar with Scheduling systems and procedures.
  • Able to communicate information to all levels of management.
  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed necessary.
  • May be required to perform material move transactions in SAP system as needed.
  • Must be able and willing to change out propane cylinders on the forklift as required.
  • Must be able to move scrap into the open top dumpster and in the compactor.
  • Keep work areas clean following 5S guidelines.
