Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or any related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented skills
Solid organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiar with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP/ERP system

Responsibilities

Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner.
Verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; check against suppliers count and immediately report discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy.
Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
Stage received material and product in appropriate location.
Create shipping and receiving receipts within the system.
Perform inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product does not meet quality standards.
Maintain inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required.
Stage product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.
Perform other related duties, as assigned.
