This role involves performing routine and repetitive tasks within food production or warehouse departments. A key aspect of the job is ensuring 100% accuracy in counting and packing, which may occupy a significant portion of the workday. The position requires multi-tasking and a strong attention to detail to ensure orders are filled correctly and completely, which is critical to the company's operations. The ability to read production labels in English is also necessary. Material handlers are responsible for correctly packing orders and must initial each label they handle. The role may involve working in various departments including assembly, prep, ovens, beverage, fulfillment, and pack-out, supporting any area as needed based on business requirements. Maintaining the pace of the team and production flow to meet specific requirements and KPIs is essential. Duties may include racking products, deboxing or decanting materials, assembling food products and meals, and breaking down boxes and containers. Participation in changeovers, counting, packing, sorting, staging, working on the line, basic sanitation, and prepping are also expected. A critical part of the role is maintaining a food-safe environment by complying with food safety policies and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) by keeping a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation. Establishing a culture of respect, hard work, consistency, and effective communication with team members is also a key expectation. Good attendance and punctuality are required and closely monitored through a point system.
