About The Position

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive role within a plant facility. The Material Handler will be responsible for various warehouse functions including operating a forklift, managing incoming and outgoing materials, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and maintain excellent attendance.

Requirements

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good math and communication skills
• Motivated and self-starter
• Work with speed and accuracy with little supervision
• Must be able to follow instructions well
• Must be well organized
• Must be able to work a 12 hours shift
• Must be able to pass functional capacity exam to lift 50lbs and push/pull 75lbs
• Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, on and off the forklift, pushing/pulling and reaching
• Repetitive hand and foot movement
• Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision

Nice To Haves

• 1 - 2 years warehouse experience
• Experience in warehouse functions of JDE
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Must be able to multi-task and solve issues in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift
• Assist in receipt and storage of incoming and outgoing materials
• Read and understand Bill of Ladings and ST/OT paperwork
• Be proficient with Scan gun and JDE System
• Maintain an outstanding attendance record
• Ensure Inventory/Transaction Accuracy
• Assist with cycle counts
• Inspect trucks for all loads entering
• Responsible for wrapping and movement of finished goods
• Responsible for dumping trash and keeping warehouse space clean
