About The Position

Menasha Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to move raw materials, product components, and finished goods to assigned locations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and production processes. The Material Handler will be responsible for accurate identification and suitability of materials, loading and unloading freight, and processing information into SAP. Operating various equipment, including forklifts and shrink-wrap machines, will be a key part of the daily tasks. Safety and efficiency are paramount, requiring adherence to all safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment. The position also involves active participation in Continuous Improvement initiatives, promoting a safe and clean work environment, and contributing to team efforts. The ability to learn and determine material size and gauge is also necessary. This is an entry-level position with a starting hourly pay rate of $17.50.

Responsibilities

  • Move raw materials, components and finished goods to their assigned locations and set up, if required.
  • Ensure material movements are consistent with current procedures regarding proper identification and suitability for storage/equipment.
  • Load inbound and outbound freight, as needed.
  • Ensure product/product locators are processed into SAP correctly.
  • Operate equipment, such as forklift, shrink-wrap machine, bander, crane, jib crane, etc.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
  • Contribute to safe and clean work environment.
  • Contributes to team effort.
  • Ability to learn and determine material size and gauge.
  • Other duties as assigned.
