About The Position

The Material Handler, Furniture & Accessories position is responsible for performing the detailed process of selecting and packing product orders efficiently. The task of selecting products is performed by carefully following instructions and choosing the appropriate items to ensure precise and prompt shipment. Additionally, the position includes the task of inspecting products before packing to maintain and ensure company quality standards are met and fulfillment of high-quality products is delivered to customers.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic math and computer skills
Must be able to read and take direction in English
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying noise levels
Walk approximately up to 10k steps per day
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
Ability to climb stairs

Responsibilities

Pick and pack customer orders by carefully reviewing pick lists and accurately selecting the appropriate products for packing and shipment.
Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment in accordance with company standards.
Inspect products before packing to uphold quality standards and ensure customers receive high-quality items.
Assist in loading trucks using forklift equipment and/or pallet jacks, contributing to the efficient logistics process.
Prepare and attach labels to packages, emphasizing accuracy through a double-checking process.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, creating an efficient and safe working environment.
Adhere to all company safety and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
