About The Position

Quad is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join their team in Hartford, WI. Quad is a marketing experience company that helps brands make direct consumer connections through its MX Solutions Suite, integrating creative, production, and media solutions. They employ approximately 10,000 people in 10 countries and serve approximately 2,100 clients. Quad in Hartford is seeking full-time Warehouse Material Handlers (Forklift Drivers) to grow with them. Candidates hired into this role will be responsible for inventory control on the production floor, ensuring that materials are brought efficiently and accurately to machines to keep production downtime to a minimum. Starting wages are $18.00-$19.00 / hr. based on relevant work experience and stability with work history. You will receive an additional $3.00 night shift premium for working the night shift.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Prior forklift experience where 75% or more of your day is spent on a forklift.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Good math skills.
  • The ability to use repetitive hand/wrist movement
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job needs.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced, detail-oriented production environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • 12-hour Compressed work schedule. (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer skills preferred.
  • Factory, Manufacturing. Warehousing, Shipping, or other work experience where mechanical or handwork was necessary, such as laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, or warehouse work, is preferred.
  • Printing, Finishing (Bindery), or Warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Move product/skids with a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift, or Forklift (training provided)
  • Servicing of press and finishing machines to move product throughout the plant
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of products with the use of an onboard PC and RF bar coding system
  • Loading and unloading of finished products and materials from semi-trailers and auto-wrappers using a forklift
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
  • Effectively communicate with team members
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
