About The Position

Schroeder Industries is hiring a Material Handler to support manufacturing and shipping operations. The role stocks and maintains accurate inventory counts, pulls and delivers parts and finished goods according to production and shipment schedules, and prepares products for shipment in accordance with shipping instructions and customer requests. It involves interacting with multiple manufacturing departments. The position is on the first shift, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and overtime is required as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification, including for a RAYMOND upright forklift.
• Maintain confidentiality when working with company proprietary information.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• ERP experience is preferred; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle finished products and raw materials in support of manufacturing operations.
• Unload and receive deliveries, verify materials and their condition, place them in the appropriate area, and complete related paperwork, records, and deliveries.
• Pick and prepare elements for shipment, including securing them on pallets with appropriate materials.
• Load and unload, or assist with loading, materials on trucks as needed.
• Use work orders, sales orders, and storeroom procedures.
• Perform data entry in the ERP system and other systems, including picking parts and recording materials received and shipped.
• Prepare shipment documents and paperwork.
• Deliver materials to the appropriate departments or areas.
• Participate in preparing for and performing physical inventories of parts.
• Cross-train on department tasks and perform other related duties as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality when working with company proprietary information.
