About The Position

The Receiving and Material Handler is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, and products in accordance with company standards. This role ensures materials are accurately received, properly stored, and efficiently delivered to production areas or shipping as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic computer and inventory software proficiency (e.g, NetSuite).
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and material labels.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience in warehouse, receiving, or material handling preferred.
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

Unload incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders, packing lists, or invoices.
Inspect incoming materials for damage, quantity discrepancies, and quality compliance.
Record and report damaged or missing items.
Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management or ERP systems.
Label and store materials in designated locations to ensure traceability.
Assist with regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
Safely transport materials to designated storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
Stage materials for production and ensure timely delivery to workstations.
Maintain proper documentation of material movement and transactions.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Report unsafe conditions or equipment immediately.
