About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift to join our team on Lincoln Ave. in Waukesha, WI! The hourly rate for this position is $23.15 per hour. The core hours are 5 am - 1 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining an even flow of process and in-process materials, both inter and intra departmental. Receive, inspect, check, identify, warehouses, and issue a wide variety of materials and parts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in Shipping / Receiving department.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using fork trucks and other powered industrial vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Receive parts from branch plants and vendors and locate them into stock locations.
  • Fill issue requests, which requires a functional use and application of bar code equipment and/or stockroom procedures.
  • Process kit lists and issues kits for Power Lead Assembly, Tanking and Final Assembly,
  • Collect, fill, and deliver bins to production areas.
  • Fill gravity racks as needed.
  • Work closely with the production departments in filling their requirements on a timely basis. This covers all transactions including emergency issues.
  • Receive and put away cores and coils as needed.
  • Unloads trucks as needed.
  • Drive a narrow aisle stacker or 6,000 lb. Jeep, scale count material from a table as well as a floor scale, allowing for tare tolerances when necessary. Is required daily to handle a variety of parts varying in size, weight, and configuration.
  • Process Material Assurance Tickets daily, sort by date, and group for proper areas of production. Issues and delivers parts by date to their point of usage assuring oldest parts go first.
  • Relocate paint and aluminum buss bars.
