About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Material Handler Day Shift at our Los Angeles, CA plant facility! With almost 300 employees, the Los Angeles facility designs and manufactures quality valves, regulators, and other fluid controls used mostly by the Aerospace Industry. Core shift hours for this opening are from 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $22.77 per hour. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in receiving, shipping, warehouse, and inventory control in a Manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum 1 years’ experience using Microsoft Office programs, Excel, and Word, etc.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
  • Strong personal work ethic and values, collaborator, and ability to work in a complex environment.
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.

  • Two (2) years’ experience as a receiving/shipping clerk.

Responsibilities

  • Supports logistics operations by receiving, processing, storing, and shipping materials while maintaining accuracy in the ERP system.
  • Inspects incoming shipments, reporting discrepancies.
  • Performs inventory tasks (cycle counts, stocking, and parts movement).
  • Prepares outbound shipments, including packaging, documentation, and scheduling domestic and international deliveries.
  • Ensures materials are delivered to the correct locations.
  • Supports production through picking and kitting.
  • Maintains stockroom organization.
  • Collaborates with purchasing, contracts, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure timely operations.
  • Works independently, communicates effectively, and maintains a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Contributes to a team-oriented environment and upholds a zero-defects, right-first-time approach while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Accepts incoming shipments, signs for deliveries, inspects for damage, segregates packages, and submits cargo claims for discrepancies.
  • Performs ERP transactions for receipts, shipments, and parts movement.
  • Conducts cycle counts.
  • Manages stockroom inventory.
  • Ensures accurate product placement.
  • Pulls parts, builds kits, verifies quantities and lot traceability, and ensures required information (e.g., cure dates) is accurate.
  • Packages and ships products.
  • Schedules domestic/international shipments.
  • Selects carriers.
  • Prepares all required shipping documentation.
  • Collaborates with purchasing, contracts, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support operations.
  • Assists staff at service counters.
  • Works independently, communicates effectively, follows safety and quality standards, and completes additional tasks as assigned.
