About The Position

This Individual is responsible for performing various activities that pertain to Material Handling. Transport materials into, out of, and throughout the assigned department. Conduct duties and responsibilities in a safe, controlled, and organized manner to internal customers that is conducive to increase throughput.

Requirements

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences
  • Has working knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in MS office and comfortable with learning new systems/programs
  • Is high-energy, self-motivated team player with the ability to multi-task.
  • Is willing to flex working hours to cover customer needs in a given week.
  • Is able to keep work areas clean following guidelines.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner.
  • Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures.
  • High School diploma, or GED equivalent required
  • 0.5 years related experience in a technically oriented position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Transport materials to designated areas as assigned.
  • Operate forklift or other power-driven equipment to load or move materials.
  • Load/Unload material onto or from pallets, trays or racking/shelves.
  • Use bar-code scanners properly and ensure that guidelines are followed for moving bar coded inventory.
  • Identify and communicate to leadership if bar-coded shelf labels need attention.
  • Provide leadership with information error identification and resolution.
  • Perform inventory counts as required.
  • Report discrepancies and perform activities associated with cycle counts
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations.
